Launch of the 1st edition of the REA Scholarship Program

In order to play an active role in the social integration of people living with a disability, the REA Foundation and its partners are launching the first edition of this new scholarship.

This program was made possible through the financial assistance of the Fondation J.A. DeSève, of the Fondation Groupe Forget and of theFondation Bourassa Savaria , all of whom wish to help make education available to people living with a disability.

Scholarships awarded

For 2021-2022, the REA Foundation is awarding eight $3,000 scholarships. In total, $24,000 will be given to students to help them pursue their studies.

Eligible study programs

All of the following study programs leading to a diploma are eligible, whether courses are offered on campus or remotely:

Training:
> Vocational (DEP);
> College (DEC);
> University, undergraduate (certificate or bachelor’s degree);
> University, graduate and post-graduate (advanced graduate diploma, master’s degree and doctoral degree).

Particular features of one of the eight scholarships – Fondation Groupe Forget Scholarship

This scholarship is for students with a hearing impairment. The recipients of the Fondation Groupe Forget Scholarship can also receive assistance in order to obtain the latest in hearing aids or assistive listening devices for better school integration.

The scholarships are designed to lend financial support to students with a sensory, language or motor impairment for the purchase of textbooks, program-specific dress requirements, additional fees or costs related to the educational institution, housing, groceries or recurring expenses (electricity, Internet, etc.).
