THE FOUNDATION

THE REA FOUNDATION

The REA Foundation is the result of strategic alliance merging the Surdité et communication de l’Institut Raymond-Dewar (IRD), Institut de réadaptation Gingras-Lindsay-de-Montréal (IRGLM) and Centre de réadaptation Lucie-Bruneau (CRLB) foundations

The REA Foundation is proud to help fund three major university-based rehabilitation hubs in Québec. These three facilities, now combined to form Centre de réadaptation en déficience physique – IU, were founded by pioneers who took the rehabilitation and social integration of sick and disabled people to heart. Today, building on these tremendous contributions, our professionals and employees continue to promote the development of rehabilitation science.

THE CENTRE DE READAPTATION
LUCIE-BRUNEAU

The Centre de réadaptation Lucie-Bruneau (CRLB) corporation offers people with motor or neurological impairment personalized, specialized or highly specialized services in adaptation-rehabilitation; social, residential and occupational integration services; integration support services; help and support services for family and friends; and alternative residential resources, all designed to foster social participation and maximize quality of life.

INSTITUT DE READAPTATION
GINGRAS-LINDSAY-DE-MONTREAL

Institut de réadaptation Gingras-Lindsay-de-Montréal (IRGLM) is a hospital specializing in rehabilitation for people with physical disabilities. It is the result of a 2008 amalgamation of Institut de réadaptation de Montréal and Lindsay Rehabilitation Hospital. The aim of IRGLM is to help people regain their autonomy with a view to returning home.

SURDITÉ ET COMMUNICATION OF
THE INSTITUT RAYMOND-DEWAR

Institut Raymond-Dewar (IRD) is a pluriregional rehabilitation centre that is highly specialized in deafness and communication. IRD is affiliated with Université de Montréal and associated with Université du Québec à Montréal and Cégep du Vieux-Montréal.

CRDP-IU

Professionals at Institut de réadaptation Gingras-Lindsay-de-Montréal (IRGLM), Centre de réadaptation Lucie-Bruneau (CRLB) and Institut Raymond-Dewar (IRD) oversee the rehabilitation and social integration of thousands of people.

In April 2015, the three physical rehabilitation centres were integrated into the CIUSSS du Centre-Sud-de-l’Île-de-Montréal. Each one is a leader in its field, and their expertise is recognized beyond our borders. These three establishments have come together to form Centre de réadaptation en déficience physique – Institut universitaire (CRDP-IU).

Affiliated with Université de Montréal, McGill University and Université du Québec à Montréal, CRDP-IU receives many students each year, and a variety of research projects are conducted in order to promote increased knowledge and treatment advancement.
